This very small batch was aged in 36-gallon white oak barrels (char 3), which unlocks deeper, richer flavors. For those who appreciate the complexity and character of Rye whiskey, Starboard Rye promises an unforgettable journey.
Smaller casks mean the whiskey spends more time wrestling with the wood. It drinks deep, pulls in a heavy, dark-amber color, and picks up a raw, unfiltered attitude that massive commercial warehouses usually sand down until there’s nothing left.
